Transparent or semi-transparent glass is considered fly-through because birds see greenery and/or sky on the other side without realizing that there is a barrier preventing them from reaching it. Bus shelters, clear railings, and walkways between buildings are just some examples of fly-through glass. Fly-through glass must be treated with a high-contrast hue, like our black markers, which stand out against the light shades of the sky and clouds.
We offer two pattern variations that meet the optimal requirement of 2" spacing. They are Harmony (offset grid) and Symmetry (square grid)
Description:
- Each roll is 1' wide and cut to custom length. To order, measure your window(s) area and calculate square footage needed. For example, if the combined area of your windows is 30 sq ft, you need 30 ft of 1' wide roll. Please add 10% to your window area calculations to account for waste.
- Product is manufactured to order. The Manufacturing timeline is 7 business days. The shipping estimate only applies to the time it takes to get to you after it has left our facility.
Storage & Pre-install Instructions:
- Store markers out of direct sunlight or extreme heat and humidity.
- Always apply markers to the outer window surface (the exterior side). The markers will not be effective if not applied to the correct surface.
- For outdoor clear panels that are fly-through issues, apply markers to the side where more bird strikes occur.
- Do not apply markers when the outside temperature is below 10°C (50°F).
- Install the markers within 2 months of purchase for optimal results.
